University Says Using “Holiday” Instead of “Christmas” is Not Politically Correct Enough Texas Woman’s University has warned students that describing Christmas parties as “Holiday” parties is now not politically correct enough and may offend Muslims, suggesting that the term “end of semester party” be used instead.

According to an advisory which described tips for an “all-inclusive, multicultural holiday party at the office,” describing Christmas as a “holiday” is not longer multicultural enough because, “Not all faith traditions have holidays in December, and not everyone identifies with a particular faith tradition.”

Mark Kessler, professor of multicultural women’s and gender studies, says that in order to avoid “missteps” that might offend Muslims, Jews or atheists, party planners should refrain from using the word “holiday” because it “connotes religious tradition and may not apply to all employees.”

The use of “religious symbolism, such as images of Santa Claus, evergreen trees, or red-nosed reindeer” is also discouraged, as is “red and green sugar cookies shaped like Christmas trees.” Halal or kosher food should be offered to meet the “requirements of non-majority groups in your organization.”

Music “associated with a faith tradition, such as Christmas carols,” is also discouraged, with a “multicultural playlist that reflects all faith traditions” preferred.

Parties scheduled for December should be renamed “end of semester” parties or “end of fiscal year” parties.

Meanwhile, over in Italy, a priest has announced that there will be no nativity scene at a local cemetery because it might offend Muslims and atheists.

Every year, leftists claim that the “war on Christmas” isn’t a thing, and every year they are proven wrong.

Now even the politically correct neutral term “holiday” is not politically correct enough, proving once again that PC control freaks are censoring language in the name of cultural sensitivity.

President elect Donald Trump isn’t buying it. During a stop on his “thank you” tour in Wisconsin yesterday, Trump urged everyone to say “Merry Christmas” – with no regrets.

Donald Trump has chosen one of the most knowledgeable people in the country on the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program (and how it has been administered for years) as a chief White House policy advisor.

From Politico:

President-elect Donald Trump has picked Stephen Miller, a top policy aide from his campaign, to serve in the White House as senior adviser to the president for policy, the transition [team] announced Tuesday.

Miller, an expert on immigration, could be seen warming up the crowds at many of Donald Trump’s early rallies.

“Stephen played a central and wide-ranging role in our primary and general election campaign,” Trump said in a statement. “He is deeply committed to the America First agenda, and understands the policies and actions necessary to put that agenda into effect.”

Miller has served as Trump’s top policy adviser since January 2016. Miller previously worked for Sen. Jeff Sessions, another early Trump supporter and Trump’s pick for Attorney General.

“Stephen Miller is the best person President-elect Donald Trump could have chosen to be his senior advisor for policy,” Sessions said in a statement released by the transition. “He has understood the Trump Movement from the beginning and has a unique understanding of the very real and honest concerns of the American people.”

Like his former boss, Senator Jeff Sessions, Miller saw Trump’s potential early and has been at his side for at least a year.

NRA – With Donald Trump’s defeat of Hillary Clinton last month, NRA members and other gun owners are looking forward to a pro-Second Amendment administration that will advance the cause of lawful gun ownership for the first time in eight years.

Apparently, pro-gun members of Congress are looking forward to the same.

Last Thursday, some Republican members of Congress launched the Congressional Second Amendment Caucus, with the purpose of working together to protect the right to keep and bear arms for all law-abiding American gun owners.

“The recent election results present us with a new opportunity to advance pro-gun legislation and reverse the erosion of the Second Amendment that’s occurred over the last few decades,” said U.S. Rep. BRITISH COLUMBIA (LifeSiteNews) – A teacher was fired by an upscale private high school a week ago after a female student complained that he had expressed his opposition to abortion in a law class.

The story of the anonymous teacher’s last days at a “posh” private school was recounted by National Post columnist Christie Blatchford on Wednesday.

The report prompted John Hof of United for Life BC to comment, “It’s an atrocity. It’s way above and beyond common sense. They’ve taken away this guy’s freedoms. It’s a case of the PC agenda taken to its extreme.”

Added John Carpay of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms: “While a private school should be the master of its own policies, I wonder what other parents at that school are thinking about this extreme over-reaction. Do they really want to raise their own children as fragile snowflakes who declare ‘I’m triggered’ and walk out the moment they hear something upsetting?”
